Our annual Christmas Lunch took place on the 11th of December at the Mary Agate Hall in Salford and once again a very well attended event with nearly 80 places set up for lunch. Everyone was seated and ready to be served by 1 o’clock, plenty of Christmas crackers being pulled, lots of conversations going on, each table looked full of colour, the hall decorations were also very carefully selected and put up, giving both the halls a very festive theme and feel.
The food looked amazing as always, presented beautifully and served perfectly. A full Christmas roast with a choice of beef and turkey, with all the trimmings alongside, followed by a choice of desserts and then finally the cheese boards, an occasion enjoyed by many.
An excellent turnout by all accounts, it was great to see all different generations in attendance, we also had some great raffle prizes donated once again this year, some very generous donations. We raised a considerable sum of money on the day, so many generous donations, the raffle tickets were a sell out this year along with everything else!
It was an excellent team effort once again to put on such a privileged event for both the villages. A huge thank you once again to the committee and all the helpers, without them none of this would happen!
