Our first Salford Sizzling Sunday went off with a big thumbs up from the guests! This was our first experiment to see how could we run a monthly breakfast club, Nick took the helm as our 'Breakfast MasterChef', he was a man in the zone, who made it look all too easy and to top it all it was Nick and Helen's birthdays also, so a glass of bucks fizz started the day!
The full English breakfast was cooked beautifully and served up with a smile, everyone enjoyed their breakfasts, we had plenty more left overs for seconds. It was a tremendous effort by Nick and Saddie for sourcing the produce and then cooking it all, a big well done to them both! As always none of these events work without the help of volunteers, people offering up their spare time to help in order to give something back to the community, so another big thank you to them all.
Big thank you to 'Big Al' who personally came to my rescue and others as they arrived, by making sure the monsoon weather didn't wash anyone away along with everything else! The weather was pretty miserable that morning, the rain storm was relentless and that made for a perfect backdrop for a full English.
